Hello, I'm Louise and I have been in private practice since 2018. I create a safe and inclusive space that is accepting and empowering for all people. I help people to increase understanding of themselves and how their past impacts their present. Then increase understanding of how they can help and support themselves in the here and now so that they become free to live a full life in the present and future. I am committed to attending regular training and CPD and learning more about how I can help people. I have completed training in working with trauma, eating disorders and personality disorders as well as attending conferences. I can arrange a 15 minute phone consultation to talk more about how I can help you and answer any questions you may have about therapy. Then I can book an in person or online appointment. I work five days a week and my working hours are; Monday 9-5:30-in person or online/phone Tuesday 1:30-8:30-in person or online/phone Wednesday 9-3-online/phone Thursday 1:30-8:30-in person or online/phone Friday 9-5:30-in person or online/phone

Who I work with:

Adults/Couples

I am a warm, thoughtful, sensitive, and empathic therapist. I bring compassion, intuition, creativity, humour, and an eye for life’s details into my practice. Alongside my formal training I draw from a broad life experience including motherhood, travel, a career in cake design, and my own therapeutic journey. I was brought up in Cumbria, and returned 20 years ago. I now live in Kendal with my two children, and am truly grateful to be able to feed our souls with the people and nature that surround us in the South Lakes. I work in person at the Porchlight Practice, online using zoom, and I also offer therapy in the outdoors. Alongside my private practice, I was one of the volunteer counselling team at Carer Support South Lakes. I work with couples and individuals. Whether you’re seeking therapy to live a more fulfilling life; to deal with stress, depression, or anxiety; improve relationships, or to explore experiences from your past then I can help. I offer you a safe, confidential space to be you. Here we can explore what is troubling you, what’s working for you and what isn’t; who you are, and what you want out of life. Give yourself the time to simply sit down, breathe and talk freely. I work with individuals and couples: online, face-to-face, and outdoors. My working hours are: Monday 9.00am – 4.30pm Tuesday 8.45am – 4.30pm Wednesday 8.45am – 4.30pm Thursday 9.00am – 8.30pm Friday 8.45am – 1.00pm The quality of the relationship between therapist and client is an important factor in determining the quality of therapeutic outcomes. With this in mind, I offer a reduced fee initial appointment (£30 for 60 minutes), so that you get a sense of what it’s like to work with me, before deciding on further sessions. I suggest committing to an initial block of six sessions which will be weekly, and then we will review your progress together. You may find that these sessions are enough to address your concerns, or you may decide that longer term work would benefit you. If you’d like to know more or book an appointment then please get in touch. I endeavor to make my practice LGBTQ+ friendly, and an open and welcoming space for people from all cultures and backgrounds.

Hello, I’m Hasan, a Transactional Analysis (TA) therapist and a registered NCPS counsellor. I offer online therapy across the UK, and in-person sessions in the Bexleyheath area. One of my specialties is supporting the Deaf community and individuals with hearing loss, ensuring they have a space where they can feel fully understood and supported. I work with clients facing stress, anxiety, and depression. I’m also deeply passionate about exploring issues around identity, including the intersections of culture, race, and sexuality. TA is a powerful tool for personal growth, designed to help you unlock your full potential and improve your overall well-being. While rooted in a Humanistic approach, TA goes beyond traditional therapy, offering a comprehensive framework for positive change in your life. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 11 years as a sign language interpreter. This background allows me to offer a unique therapeutic experience for both Deaf and hearing individuals. When you reach out, we can set up a free 15-minute screening to explore what brings you to therapy. If we both feel that we’re a good fit, we’ll arrange a convenient time for ongoing sessions. Typically, sessions last 50 minutes once a week, though I’m happy to adapt the frequency based on your needs. I look forward to supporting you on your journey to well-being.

My Philosophy I believe that our beliefs and value systems or attitude guide our behaviour. There is no right or wrong answer, and everyone has the answers within themselves. My role as your therapist will be to lead you towards this self-knowledge. Each of us sees something different when we look out into the world and no two people experience the world in the same way. Our encounter with the world and perceptions depends on who we are, what ability we have and our past experiences. I work with you to increase your awareness and help you to find the answers or truth for yourself. I will help you become more confident and happier and help you to live your life with more wisdom, peace and freedom. My Approach for Individuals I use Transactional Analysis (TA) when I work with individuals. Transactional Analysis (TA) is a model of psychotherapy which helps you understand why you behave in certain way in your social interactions and how your past experiences impact your life here and now. This systematic psychotherapy can help you to make new decisions and can lead you towards personal growth and personal change. My Approach for Couples I use Imago Relationship Therapy with couples which helps you to improve your relationships and become closer to your partner. My role as an Imago therapist is to teach, support and guide you through the Imago Dialogue to deepen your communication and to make a good connection with each other. Through the process you will recognize how early childhood relationship experiences affect how we communicate, behave, and respond to others in adult relationships. In a safe and effective way, you will work out the misunderstandings, reduce conflict, find new ways to bond, and create a joyful and loving relationship.

Hello, I am Gill and I work as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor online and face to face as a Transactional Analyst and UKCP registered Psychotherapist. I offer confidential, caring and non-judgmental counselling and psychotherapy for both individuals and couples. I work online and face to face depending on the needs of my clients. Whilst I specialise in Transactional Analysis, I supplement my therapy and supervision work with considering the relationship styles in terms of Attachment theory (I lectured in this for the Open University) so in some ways that is my primary modality and supplement this with a humanistic and integrative approach to support you. I also use my background to support adults returning to study to retrain as a counsellor or psychotherapist. I will use my skills to support you on your journey to achieve your potential and to identify in what way you block and sabotage yourself on this journey, helping you to understand yourself and your script. I am based in Kingston near to the train line connections with Clapham Junction and so also with Central London.

Hello! Here is a little about me and my therapy practice. I offer a safe space for trans, non binary and gender expansive clients. Whilst I am a cisgender, heterosexual person, I feel strongly that a persons gender is not up for debate, and offer an affirming supportive space for all. I am a member of TACTT (Therapists against conversion therapy and transphobia). I also hold a neurodivergent inclusive space - I have personal lived experience of neurodivergence (ADHD) but my experience won’t be the same as yours. I provide a space in which you can explore what your neurodivergence means for you, whether thats ADHD, being autistic, or other differences. A bit about me... briefly, I've been a therapist for nine years.  I also have thirty years experience in the voluntary, care, and NHS sectors.  This has been supporting individuals with emotional distress and trauma, caused by a wide range of issues.  One of my commitments, is my investment in ongoing professional development in the fields of trauma, neurodivergence, and gender diversity.  This ensures my practice is ethical, trauma informed and up to date.  And ultimately, benefits you, the client. The relationship between the therapist and the client is really important.  It help you feel comfortable, emotionally contained and safe, which may sound obvious.  But it is also predictive of positive therapeutic outcomes, and a reduction in difficult symptoms.  Indeed the best way for us to find out if we will 'click', is to meet.  However, I hope that by sharing some information here about who I am, what makes me tick, and my values, will help to give you a sense of whether you want to connect with me.  So, if you're interested in those things, please carry on reading below. Trust, relationship, and integrity are very important to me.  I am deeply committed to offering you an honest, respectful, safe and confidential relationship, in which we can work together.  All that being said, please don't think Im some kind of saintly fluffy person - Im really not!  Ive purple hair, a half shaved head, I swear, and I enjoy humour - both of which can have a place in therapy.  My personal values are of kindness, compassion, honesty, and inclusivity.  I commit to being as flexible as I can to support people with health issues and/or neurodiversity, within my own competence.  If it's helpful for you to know, I am physically disabled with long term health issues, and have ADHD.  That being said, I strongly believe that lived experience is very individual, and your therapy is about YOUR experience. Everyone matters.  You matter. I will welcome you wholeheartedly, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, religious or spiritual beliefs, or colour. That being said, trust takes time to establish and I don't expect you to trust me straight away simply because Im a therapist.  I need to demonstrate I am an okay person to trust. Safety is also an internal feeling - I know that providing an objectively safe space, does not mean always feeling safe in therapy.  What I can do is be with you, and support you at those times.  If you feel I might be someone you can connect with, please do contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

As a psychotherapist with an MA in Autism, and numerous awards for my work with neurodivergent people, I mainly work with people who have had a autism late-diagnosis, including women misdiagnosed with an emotionally unstable personality 'disorder', who discover they are autistic. I intensely dislike the concept of 'disordered' and work with my clients to unravel their brilliance and struggles from a life position of "I'm-OK, You're-OK". In-session we explore what it means to be autistic, including masking, sensory processing differences, disordered eating, co-occurring conditions, communication approaches and so much more. I have an in-depth understanding of the Family Courts, Special Education and Disability Tribunals, and Social Care. I support people who have experienced discrimination and injustice where their 'difference' has been misunderstood. Publications: Community Care. (2017, May 15).
