John Maxwell

John has studied TA for several years, completing four years of psychotherapy training at the Link Centre and two years of organisational TA at The Berne Institute. He is one of the three founding directors of Connexus Institute, a Registered Training Establishment in Brighton and Hove. John’s background is in teaching, and he is currently the headteacher of a large primary school on the South Coast, having previously been a head in North London. 

In his role as a headteacher, John uses TA concepts and principles in the ongoing professional development of staff, encouraging them to develop their potential. He has also supported and mentored other headteachers and run training programmes for senior leaders. He has also used the principles of TA concepts to support pupils in developing resilience, independence and positive relationships.
